Legalisation of drugs

Today in contemporary media issues we were placed into groups and the group i was in got given the theme of legalization of drugs and each of us in our group had to write about a certain topic to do with our theme. The themes were:social networking and identity, collective intelligence, the creation of communities, social networking and democracy, social networks as a market/distribution mechanism. I chose to write about Social networking and Democracy of Legalisation of Drugs.

this was my input to the groups wiki, i really liked that i had some feedback on this post. i felt it made the wiki worth doing as someone had taken their time to read it.

As a group we had to write a summary of legalisation on drugs together, i felt my group worked well together and were well organised and got exactly what we wanted done and really enjoyed creating this wiki and receiving replies on it.

Google Maps "My places"

All groups were given a place in Liverpool. My group was given Otterspool park and promenade and we came up with a story about Steven Gerrard and a reflection of a made up life through google maps. we used images, videos and texts to present our story in a chronicle order, starting at Otterpool park and prom with Stevie G reminiscing on his life and then traveling over the world through google maps.
I thought using google maps was an interesting way to present and explain a story although i did find it quite difficult to get my head round in to begin with.

LONDON

This week I missed wednesday and fridays lectures to go see the Da Vinci exhibit in London. A good reason to miss lecture i reckon. it was really interesting and I'm really glad i went even though we had to quoue for a fair few hours, not even sure we were going to get tickets, but it was all worth it in the end and i really enjoyed myself and it was a once in a lifetime opportunity.
